  • During your initial session, you'll have the opportunity to discuss your concerns, goals, and expectations with your therapist. This is also a time for your therapist to gather background information to better understand your unique situation.

At the end of this session your therapist will discuss your treatment options and make recommendations.

  • Therapy sessions typically last 50-60 minutes.

The frequency of sessions varies depending on the nature of your concerns, ranging from weekly, fortnightly, monthly to less frequent appointments. Your therapist will make a recommendation at the end of your first session.

  • You may be eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) under the Medicare Better Access Scheme. A MHCP entitles a person to a rebate of $141.85 per session, for up to 10 sessions claimable per calendar year. To obtain an MHCP, you will need to book an appointment with your GP or Psychiatrist.

  • If you are attending under a mental health care plan, please ensure you provide your referral to the clinic via email prior to your appointment or ensure you bring the referral to the appointment.

The full session fee is payable at the time of your appointment. Medicare rebates are processed immediately after payment. Following Medicare processing times, Medicare will deposit the rebate amount into your nominated Medicare bank account.

  • Our practice has a cancellation policy in place.

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to keep an appointment. This is a courtesy to the therapist and the other clients who may require care.

Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time will be charged a cancellation fee that is equivalent to 50% of the consultation fee. Please note that this fee cannot be claimed back through Medicare.

Missed appointments where no notice has been given will be charged 100% of the consultation fee.

We do offer Telehealth sessions as an alternative should you be too unwell to attend in person.

  • Most businesses have a cancellation policy in place to protect the sustainability of their business.

A late cancelled appointment is a loss to:

    • Another client who has been sitting on the waiting list to see the psychologist.

    • The psychologist who has spent time preparing for your session, time completing administrative tasks relating to your appointment and had set the time aside for you.

  • We offer services for clients aged 13+ years.

We do not offer couples counselling.
